Bouteloa gracilis

Bouteloa gracilis
Description
The thin, flat, narrow, grey-green foliage makes this grass a perfect low-maintenance lawn substitute. But it's the unique display of decorative flowers that truly sets it apart. From June through September, crescent-shaped flowers consisting of 20 to 90 spikelets are perched on stems high above the foliage. An excellent choice as a specimen or in mass plantings or succulent combinations. This plant can withstand heat, drought, cold and mowing. Slow to establish, but very durable. A warm-season grass.
